Procurement Lincolnshire: A unique collaborative approach to efficient and sustainable procurement - from rhetoric to reality

Procurement Lincolnshire is a groundbreaking partnership which brings together all eight local authorities within a two-tier county boundary into a single strategic procurement service which is hosted by the county council. The workshop will provide an overview of the partner authorities - a borough council, five district councils, the City of Lincoln and Lincolnshire County Council, and look at the governance arrangements including a collaboration agreement, service level agreement and the formal delegation of the procurement function from all partners to the host authority as well examining the key benefits - cashable and non-cashable, and taking a practical look at how the new service will operate on a day to day basis. Finally, Sharon will offer a light hearted look at lessons learned along the way.
