Welcome to the Shared Services Online Summit
This March, for the second year, the 'Shared Service Online Summit' will bring together leaders from across the public sector to debate the issues that determine the success of shared services and the key challenges that need to be addressed at each stage of a shared services project.
Following the debate, a comprehensive report will be produced, with a range of recommendations aimed at helping public bodies develop successful shared services.
The virtual debate will take place on a specially designed web site over 7 days between 3 and 9 March 2008. A 'virtual think-tank' of over 80 people will be assembled to create the core of the discussions. Participants will be briefed ahead of the Online Summit, and will have access to technical and other support. Headstar will draw up and circulate key points for debate in advance; and weave the results into a report to be launched at our London conference, 'Shared Services in the Public Sector', on 4 June 2008.
The think tank will examine the following three themes:
1 - Why shared services?
2 - Roadblocks: What is slowing us down?
3 - The way ahead: success factors
If you would like to take part in the online summit then please email Jo Knell at jo.knell@headstar.com confirming your name, job title, and email address, and we will be in touch with specific details.
As a think-tank member you will simply agree to visit the web site at any time during the week the debate goes 'live', to read contributions from fellow think-tank members and respond, or initiate new strands of debate.
Happy debating!
