The challenge the Council faced was ‘how to make it happen’. This discussion group explores the feasibility phase that West Berkshire County Council went through in 2008 to understand the workstyle requirements for different roles across the Council, to define the technology requirements, develop the business case for making the change and creating the right level of employee engagement to create the momentum. The council is now in the second of three phases of deployment, with mobile and flexible working deployed across the majority of the Council by December 2010. This feasibility phase was led by Vodafone, and Gail Kirby, one of the core team members will lead this discussion. |
