Andrew Trigg, Chief Geographic Information Officer, Land Registry

Dr Andrew Trigg is Chief Geographic Information Officer at Land Registry, based in Plymouth. He has spent his entire working career in the Geospatial Data Management industry. He is currently responsible for Land Registry's national property, mapping and address data sets.

After a Geography degree and masters, and GI PhD, he has spent a further 21 years in the industry working for the Natural Environment Research Council, Laser-Scan (now 1 Spatial), Wiltshire County Council and Ordnance Survey before joining Land Registry in 2005.

At Land Registry he is responsible for the delivery of the GI Strategy which is focussed on the creation of an organisational spatial data infrastructure, designed to deliver key improvements to operational infrastructure and practice, as well as preparing for INSPIRE and other regulatory and commercial demands.

Andrew is also a member of the AGI Council, the cross-government INSPIRE Working Group and the Pan Government Agreement Steering Group.
