Jonathan Makin, Head of Corporate Geospatial Information Management, Ordnance Survey

As a member of Ordnance Survey's senior management team, Jonathan Makin is responsible for the content of organisation's Corporate Geographic Database. He leads a team of data modellers who are defining the data structures and content of the organisation's next generation of geospatial databases. He reports data quality to the Ordnance Survey Board, and works across the business to define and implement policy on geospatial data quality and metadata.

Prior to Ordnance Survey, Jonathan worked as a consultant and business analyst for ESRI UK, advising clients in local government and the private sector. He spent 12 months at ESRI Inc implementing support for ISO geospatial metadata in ArcGIS.

He is a Professional Member of the Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors, holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, MSc from Edinburgh University and BSc from Bristol University.
