#fdem10 Welcome to the UK's leading annual conference on all aspects of e-democracy, from e-campaigning, e-petitions and e-voting to the use of the internet and new technologies in the policy cycle; democratic activity and engagement. Last year’s event - our seventh – took place on 2 December 2010.

Our usual strong line-up of speakers last year included MPs, analysts, academics, practitioners and citizen representatives: see the programme page for full details of who was there.

Short video highlights of last year’s event courtesy of media partner Catch21 Television can be viewed online: http://www.catch21.co.uk/2010/12/future-democracy-conference-2010
with a variety of full textual reports also available on the website of our publication, E-Government Bulletin. Just search for 'Future Democracy' at E-Government Bulletin Live.

And here is a link to a piece based on Mary Reid's talk to conference, 'Do social networking sites support democracy and the open society?'

Thanks to all who came, and all who spoke, and look out for details of this year’s event in E-Government Bulletin.
