Beccy Allen, HeadsUp

Beccy has worked for the Hansard Society for the last 3 ½ years, project managing the HeadsUp online forum for the last 18 months and overseeing increasing user numbers and involvement with the project. The HeadsUp web-forum engages 11-18 year olds with political issues and connects them with the decision-makers able to have influence on those issues. During her time managing HeadsUp she has gained experience of youth engagement online, the education sector and how young people can be more engaged with their political institutions and representatives. She has also carried out research about the use of ICT within Parliament and what different groups think the role of technology should be within Parliamentary processes.
