Andy Williamson, Hansard Society

Dr Andy Williamson is Director of the Hansard Society’s eDemocracy Programme. With a background in technology innovation, research and policy relating to IT, broadband and social policy, Andy’s work explores political communication online and how citizens can harness digital media to engage effectively with government and parliament. Before coming to the UK Andy was Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Government’s Digital Strategy Advisory Group. His work influences policy and practice around the world and he is currently a member of the international reference group for the Australian Government’s Gov2.0 Taskforce.
