Local E-Democracy

Local councils are closer to the people than Westminster government, so how can local e-democracy tap into this power? Our workshop will look at the main national and local policies and innovations in this field, including the new International Centre for Excellence in Local E-democracy (ICELE); Options for and trials of remote e-voting and electronic vote-counting in local elections; and webcasting of local council meetings.
