Grassroots movements and the web

The internet is a superb tool for drawing together large communities of interest that may be widely dispersed geographically, and uniting them around a cause. It can also help them directly to take action such as emailing a politician or signing an electronic petition, or attending a protest meeting in their area. This workshop will look at tips on what works and what doesn't in online grassroots campaigning.
