CLOSING PLENARY: The Future Of Accessibility: Home, work and play
Tim Pennick, Technical Research Consultant, Accessibility and Usability, BT
Matthew Cock, Chair, Jodi Mattes Trust
Third speaker tbc

In our final session, we look ahead to a few key technology trends predicted to rise in prominence and importance over the next few years, and what implications they may have for accessibility, under the broad headings of 'home, work and play'.

In the home, the continued rise in communications convergence; digital entertainment centres; 'smart homes' and other technologies could be liberating or they could be a further barrier to normal life to people with disabilities. At work, ICT is also increasingly central to many jobs, both internally within organisations and in serving customers and the public - do all employees have an equal chance to do their job well? And we look at access to cultural information online, such as the digital collections offered by modern museums and galleries.

Hear what our analysts and practitioners have to say about these trends, and join in the debate.
