Raj Kher, Business Development Manager, BrowseAloud
Business Development Manager for BrowseAloud, Raj is responsible for building and developing the BrowseAloud community within the South of England. The community of BrowseAloud-enabled sites within the UK comprises a number of high profile clients including the Cabinet Office, the British Council, the Open University, the Independent Police Complaints Commission, London 2012, BT, Waterstones and Yell. BrowseAloud is increasingly being viewed as a fundamental part of the accessibility tool box, particularly as the service is free to the end user but also because it requires practically no implementation from the purchaser.
Over his four year period as Business Development Manager, Raj has helped extend the BrowseAloud community within various market sectors, such as local government, government agencies, housing associations, health authorities and corporate organisations.
In his pursuit of a career within the Technical, Sales and Marketing arena, Raj graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1991. He spent three years as Sales Manager for a leading global telecommunications and internet organisation before joining Texthelp in 2005.
