Tara Alexander, Senior Manager – Innovation, RNIB

For the past ten years, Tara Alexander has headed up the RNIB's Research and Development and Innovation Teams. She has worked on key projects, turning concepts into useful realities. Projects she has led include accessible Online Book Delivery, development of accessible mobile email solutions, Digital TV accessible set top boxes and many European Consortium ICT Research projects.

Tara's background lies firmly within IT, particularly software development. Since gaining her degree in Computer Science at Southbank University, London she has worked with organisations such as Boots and the University of Kent in a developmental capacity.
