Malcolm Wright, Managing Director, ITV SignPost

Malcolm Wright is the Managing Director of ITV SignPost, the UK’s largest provider of on-screen sign language services. A former Guardian journalist, he has worked as a writer, broadcaster and media analyst. He was a founder member of the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom, a founding director of Northern Film and Media and is vice-chair of the government-funded Centre of Digital Excellence Codeworks.

He established the multi award-winning ITV SignPost business in 2000 to provide sign language access across all media platforms, but particularly on the Internet. ITV’s website www.signpostbsl.com was the first in the world to offer bi-lingual BSL/English access.
