Workshop chair: Dan Jellinek, Editor, E-Access Bulletin and Director, Headstar Publishing

Dan Jellinek is Director and co-founder of Headstar (www.headstar.com), a company pioneering email publishing. Headstar's publications include E-Access Bulletin, a free monthly email newsletter on access to technology by blind and vision-impaired people, published in partnership with the RNIB and E-Government Bulletin.

Dan is also co-founder of VoxPolitics (www.voxpolitics.com), a think-tank set up to track the use of new technologies in democratic politics. At the 2004 World Forum on e-Democracy he was voted among the top 10 individuals in the world having the greatest impact on the way the internet is changing politics.

Dan is a director of the Sussex Community Internet Project (www.scip.org.uk), a non-profit body helping community groups use the internet; and a member of the Society of IT Management's 'Better Connected' team which reviews every UK council web site annually. He previously worked as a freelance journalist for The Guardian and BBC Online.
