Workshop panellist: Fraser Hamilton, Co-Founder and Director, Designed for All
Designed for All is a usability
and accessibility advisory in London, whose clients include Lloyds TSB, Orange,
Ofcom, and the Disability Rights Commission.
Fraser was the project manager on the Disability Rights Commission's investigation
into website accessibility, which involved evaluating 1,000 UK websites for
their accessibility. The findings have informed government policy and set the
agenda for the future of website development.
Fraser also led the development of an innovative speech-based Virtual Human
Interface for interacting with televisions which won a Royal Television Society
Award. Prior to establishing Designed for All, he was a usability advisor at
Iconmedialab, a Swedish web design agency. Before that, he held lecturing and
research posts in Human-Computer Interaction at the Universities of Brighton
and London.
He is a Chartered Member of the British Computer Society, a Professional Member
of the Association for Computing Machinery and a member of the Usability Professionals
Association.
