Mike is the founder and Technical Director of The Salt Lake Consultancy Ltd based in Hampshire, UK. After a 17-year career in IBM culminating in a consultancy role in Global Services, Mike went freelance in 1998 and has delivered programmes and projects across multiple industry segments, including: Education; Government (central and local), Financial Services, Insurance, Legal, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, FMCG and Distribution.

Mike was Programme Manager at the Learning & Skills Council when Sitecore (and Panlogic) were selected for the re-vamp and delivery of the apprenticeships.org.uk website in 2008. Apart from programme management, Mike has experience from several engagements in recovering failing projects.

Mike delivers through structured methodology (PRINCE2) and works at Board level. Mike's programmes typically involve the simultaneous management of multiple project streams with multiple personnel, building and motivating teams by using clear processes and guidance to all involved, regardless of their geographic location.
