NHS Choices

People look to their council for information on local services, including health services. Since late 2009, nearly 100 councils have sought and begun using NHS Choices syndicated content on their website to meet the information needs of local people.

NHS Choices (www.nhs.uk) is the online 'front door' to the NHS, supporting 8-9 million visitors a month to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. NHS Choices enables the public to find and compare NHS and other services, and features a wide range of videos and interactive tools. It is also home to Carers Direct, the information service for carers.
