Welcome to 'Building the perfect council website'
A partnership between E-Government Bulletin and the Socitm Insight Programme, this conference will attempt to encapsulate and present every aspect of how to create the perfect council website from the citizen and the organisation's perspective: easy to use, working first time, compelling and engaging.
From ease of navigation and usability to the use of plain English, good practice in online forms and transactions and that elusive 'wow' factor that makes people love a public service site and want to return to it, this one-day event will bring together experts and practitioners to share tips on best practice and warn against common pitfalls. Above all the event will draw on the collected wisdom of seven years of Socitm's annual 'Better Connected' review of all UK council websites and feature the Better Connected reviewers' own insights, plaudits and brickbats.
